DAY 08

DAY 08- A MOMENT

A moment. Hmmm.... what kind of moment?...
A good moment?
A bad moment?
A spiritual moment?
A fun moment?
A random moment?

.....How about an embarassing moment that happened TODAY....

Yes. That's a good one to tell.

Well, it all started by another ditzy moment. So I get a call today from a member of our High Priests Quorum and they want to meet with me to introduce themselves and get to know me. (since I'm a recently new member in their ward). They tell me that we'll meet at 6:30. (Side note: My car is broken down at the time. ) So, Aaron drops me off at 6:30. I get in the church and I'm not really sure who to look for because I don't know this Brother that called me. Luckily I walked in and found Brother Burton, who I actually knew! So I told him who I was looking for and he found them. To their surprise......there I was. They were just leaving to come to MY house. Wooops...... They were coming to visit ME. But oh well, and they just met with me there! SO.....Technically I didn't even NEED to be at the church!
Another side note: a couple of weeks ago I got a call from the ward clerk after church to come back in and sign my tithing check. Yea....I forgot to sign my own check, and when I go in to sign in there's the bishop, his counselors, and others there laughing about it with me. So, after this happened tonight, I sat down and literally thought to myself "Wow, this ward probably considers me the wards biggest ditz!"
Anyway, I then call Aaron and he tells me that he just picked up his trailer and is on his way to get me. Keep in mind that Aaron drives a big, maroon colored truck... Back to the story. I'm sitting in the church and I'm on my phone, when I see the maroon truck pull in. I walk outside and up to the truck, still distracted by my phone. I see out of the corner of my eye that someone is in the passenger seat. I think nothing of it, and I try to open the back door, and it's locked. So I try the front door, and it's locked too. As the driver un-locks the door and I open it....I realize that I do NOT know these people, and this is NOT Aarons truck! AH! Thank goodness this guy was hilarious. I told him my though process and that I figured "Maroon truck... Aaron is here!" And he laughed and said "That's ok, we were just thinking, ' Cool! We've never had this pretty of a lady in the back seat!' " Hahaha! I was SOOO embarrassed! So I laughed with them for a minute and then walked away and continued waiting for Aaron.

Don't let my natural hair color fool you. I really am blonde at heart....

DAY 07

DAY 07- Your Best Friend

So as I've been thinking about this one, I've decided that I've had many different Best Friends throughout my life. A best friend to me is someone that is always there for you, and honestly who knows MOST about you. I consider my Best Friends the ones I tell most to, the ones I trust most, and the ones I always am in touch with.

My child hood best friend was Jordan Hess. Jordan and I were inseperable!! And I mean seriously inseperable. So inseperable that we were actually kind of rude to everyone else. I admit it, and am not proud of it.....but it brings some good memories haha. Jordan and I did everything together. We had the same favorite colors, the same amount of dolls that we would play with. When she got a toy, I'd get the toy. We'd have sleep overs and "late nighers" and we'd get the same color of braces. We'd play house, and restaurant, and put on dance shows with our "Big Red, and Big Blue" balls and perform for our parents. We had very strong personalities and always had fun together! We started to kind of separate in about 6th grade when we went to ACYI and met lots of new people. However, we never completely split. We've always been good friends. We danced in High School together and still remain close although we don't chat much, or see each other a whole lot. But I sure do love her. "Jibby and Fresca" Forever =)

I don't have very many pictures on my computer of Jordan and I. If I was at home, I'd have thousands! But this is a good one because I have to mention Rockettes anyways. Rockettes will always be my best friends. I spent on average 28 hours a week with these girls just practicing. That's not including extra practices, or performances, or assemblies when we were required to sit together, or football games and basketball games, and meetings, and team parties. We LIVED together. And it payed off. There was no way that you COULDN'T love these girls and I truly did. (And still do). These were the 10 girls in my graduating class. We were most of the team. I love my ten :) (Oh and Jordan is right next to me on the right!... if you didn't know)

Once I hit 6th grade, my best friends became McKell and Kristen 100%. I was always close with McKell and Kristen growing up. We were all in the same ward, and elementary and we played all the time. But once we were in 6th grade, we then became attached at the hip. We became "BMK" (Breanne, McKell, Kristen) and stuck with it forever! In Intermediate school and onto Jr High, we hung out 24-7 whenever we could! This is a great time to also mention Dallin and Rachel. Dallin and Rachel were right there with us all through Intermediate school and Jr. High. Every weekend we'd play night games, or truth or dare, or go bowling....whatever. But we ALWAYS were together. When we hit high school we all kind of went different ways. McKell and I stayed super close because we were on Rockettes together. But even though the rest of us weren't AS close.... when we got together it's like we were still in Jr High. That's what is so great about them now. McKell and Kristen are both married, and Kell has a little baby. We're all in different stages in life and we really don't keep in touch much but a little here and there. However, when we do get together, it's like we're right back to Jr High :) I love these girls and I know we'll be best friends for eternity!

Me, McKell, and Kristen

Next on the list is Taylor. Taylor was part of the gang in Jr High. He would hang out with us a lot and we were all pretty tight. We really started becoming even better friends in High School. Our Jr year Taylor asked me to homecoming. From then on, we became super close. I can still remember the exact moment that I thought to myself "wow.....he is the best friend ever."
I was driving through town one night crying. There was a party going on at my friend Matt's, and Matt had been texting me. He started to give me a hard time because I had a "missionary" at the time, and he told me that maybe I could have come to the party if i didn't have a missionary. Yes, dumb little highschool drama, but I was really hurt and sad! Well Taylor called me soon after and I told him the situation. He then said to come over and we were going to go buy toilet paper and toilet paper matt's van. And that we did. Haha I felt so much better and thought Taylor was just the best for helping me feel better. And from that day on, that's exactly the kind of friend he was. I could honestly say he was my VERY BEST friend in High School. I could talk to Tay about anything in the world and feel comfortable. He has great outlooks on things and is very spiritual. The day he left on his mission I was a mess. haha! I was bawling in my moms arms and my mom said to me "You really love him, don't you" and I did. I really did love this kid to death. He's home now and living in Logan. We've gone our seperate ways for the most part but we're friends. I'm happy for him and the good life that he is living :) I'll always be grateful for his friendship!

Taylor and I =)

I could go on forever. But I'll stop with one more. Kati :)
I would consider Kati my Best Friend at the moment. Kati and I became close in High School when we danced together. (In our peter pan dance, she was my shadow haha!) Anyway, we always got along so well. We just clicked! Since high school, kati and i continue to stay close. Even when we lived in seperate towns we still would call each other often and man....we can talk. We talk for hours and everything. I can tell her EVERYTHING going on in my life and she is always so good at listening. I'm actually living with Kati next month when I move to provo and I can't wait!!

Kati and I in St. George :)

OK- I'll stop now :) I sure do love my friends and don't know what I'd do without them :)

DAY 06

DAY 06- YOUR DAY

This is another one of those day challenges that I think to myself "Nobody really cares.....so....what's the point?" This may be more interesting on a Saturday, or on a regular school day when there's new things happening, but...that's not the case. On the days that are exciting, I'm usually not thinking about blogging until the next day. Anyway, here's the day of Breanne on July 7, 2011 haha.

7:00 am- Annoying "Loud Beeps" alarm goes off in which I apparently pushed "off" because.....
7:55 am- Wake up. Ooops.
8:05 am- Start getting ready in more of a rush than expected.
8:25 am- Getting frustrated that I didn't have time to wash my hair because it's not going well...
8:35 am- Toast a poptart and eat my breakfast
8:50 ish - Drive to work
9:00 am- Begin work.
2:00 pm- Quick lunch break
2:05 pm- Quick call to Tayler to figure out our living situation.
2:30 pm- Back to work for one more patient
4:15 pm- Done with work and walking to my car when.....
4:20 pm- My car key won't turn in the ignition! Grand.
4:25 pm- Get a ride home with Aaron..
4:30 pm- Phone call with Mom
4:45 pm- Surfing the web for apartments.

5:11 pm- Phone call with Kati to do MORE living situation crap. Yuck.
5:30 pm- More surfing and e-mail writting.
6:00 pm- Ate some yummy chicken and potatoe dinner!
6:30 pm- Another quick call with my mom :)
7:00 ish - Started blog surfing and writing!
And now it's 7:41 pm. The rest of the night I have some idea but that usually changes anyways. I'll probably go outside and play with the boys after this. Then they'll probably go to bed and I'll probably watch some tv or something with Brooke and Aaron. Then I need to write a letter and look over a Primary lesson for Sunday since I'm not really sure how that's gonna go. Who knows.

I'm sure you've been totally intertained with this and all, but I'm going to stop. I'm bored WRITING this! So for now....
Have a way more exciting day than this ;)

Home Sweet Home

Last weekend I was able to go home for the weekend.
Brooke and Aaron were headed to Manti area to a family reunion. I have been in need of renewing my drivers license and a dr appt. SO... I figured this was my chance. My awesome mom decided she would drive to Manti and pick me up :) She picked me up on Thursday night and we headed back to Provo. We went for ice-cream with Blake and then stayed the night at my Grandpas. The next morning we had breakfast and headed off to get all the things checked off my list. Side note: Getting a drivers license is such a pain!!!! Yet getting an original birth certificate isn't? Dumb.

Anyway, we got back to Brigham and WOW. First of all the temple....! Speechless! I can't believe how far it has come. It is absolutely breath taking! I am so excited to see its progress continue! Then I got home and was able to see all the new changes my parents have made to the house. Talk about a lot of new things this weekend! It was great.

Later that night I was able to go on a date with my good friend from way back, Dallin. Dallin got home from his mission in the beginning of June and I hadn't seen him yet. It was SO good to see him! Dallin is one of my favorite guys ever. He even made me the cutest birthday present in the world! Dallin and I met in 6th grade and we wrote notes all throughout Intermediate School, Jr. High, and even some High School notes! Well, Dallin kept all of these and put them in a book for me. It was the most thoughtful gift ever and I love it! We had such a good time together. As I hung out with him a quote kept coming to mind. It's one of my favorite quotes. It says:

"Understand that friends come and go, but with a precious few you should hold on. The older you get, the more you need the people who knew you when you were young."

I find that very true in many situations! Here's some of the fun we had :)

Here's part of the Book he made. I had written him a Birthday note a long time ago, and he copied that. Cute eh?!!

A more embarrassing part to the book. Haha we're so little in some of these pictures!

We cooked dinner :) A very good meal by Dallin, I must say!

Hangin' out on the swings :)

The next day I went fly-fishing with my mom and dad. My dad and I try and go fishing every summer. (We try and go lots but it's hard to find time!) But I love going fishing with my dad! I absolutely love doing outdoor things with him. Another side note: I drew out for the muzzleloader for the first time this year. I'm excited to start hunting. I've always wanted to but it's going to take a lot of practice!
Anyway, back to the fishing.... There's a song that is one of my recent favorites, and it totally reminds me of my dad and I and the more I listen to it, the more I want to go fishing with my dad! Here's a video of it:

So we went fishing :) My mom was there too! She just took these pictures so she's not in them.

Don't let this fool you. My fish was bigger. It's just angled different :) Right dad!!?

I love flyfishing! Thanks Dad! :)

After Fishing I went Shopping with my mom! I love shopping with her. It was so good to have some time with my mom and do what us girls do best :) haha.

Overall, it was such a good weekend and I was sad to leave! I honestly could hang out with my mom and dad all the time! I sure love it and I'm excited to see them in a couple of weeks!

Life is good :)
